The Chainsmokers still burn up the charts, and on Nov. 4, the duo turns up the heat.
“Setting Fires” is the latest single from the duo’s newly released five-track Collage EP. It’s a slow-burning sensual beat with exotic undertones. XYLØ provides the slinky, breathy vocals. “Setting Fires” follows preceding Collagehits “Closer” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” and by the sound of this chorus, it’s probably destined to for serious commercial heights.
Winter is coming, but The Chainsmokers’ new song with XYLØ will keep you warm. “Setting Fires,” off the EDM duo’s new Collage EP, is a party anthem about a broken relationship. Looks like the love went downhill after “Closer,” I suppose.
Drew Taggart, who sings the guy part in “Closer,” takes a break from the spotlight and hands the vocals over to XYLØ — a brother-sister electropop group — for this tune. “I can’t go on setting fires to keep you warm,” lead singer Paige Duddy repeats in the chorus.
